Our workshops are designed to assist beginning fruit and vegetable gardeners with a proven and successful model to build and maintain their own garden system. Whether you desire an edible garden in a parking lot, backyard, office, hospital, food bank, school, church, or community space, we can help you grow what your nutrition garden for better health.
Together, we will develop your garden based on the square foot model for planting. We will talk about seeds, plants, soils, harvest output guidelines, and maintenance. We will introduce hoop housing (for extended growing seasons), composting and rainwater collection. For shared garden spaces such as restaurants, schools, food banks and youth programming we will brainstorm your specific plan and discuss how to cultivate community partnerships/sponsors, the garden as a learning space and engaging programming in the garden. Participants will receive educational materials and resources for continued learning. We reserve the right to reschedule the workshop, if minimum participation isn't reached. Discount hotel accommodations available in all cities.
